We are studying different natural hazards... Here are some interesting facts about hurricanes that sixth form prepared for us...Let's read!

Hurricanes are the biggest and bravest storms in the whole world.There are different names for these storms depending on where are originated.These are CYCLONES, HURRICANES AND TYPHOONS.

They are originated when cold winds coming from the north crash with warms winds coming from the south .Then they start to spin and slowly they start to grow.

Finally when they have a certain speed they turn into a hurricane. This natural disaster also generates big consequences in our planet like heavy rains, strong winds, floods, people killed and houses destroyed.

Social Studies Project: Natural Hazards

We are currently studying different Natural dissasters. We want to know what they are, what causes them, where do they occur and how we can forecast them.

Sofía, Gianira, Tomás, Catalina and Martin prepared an amazing presentation for the class, and explained all the main facts about tornadoes clearly. Congratulations!
